Department of Anatomy

About Department

The Department is wholeheartedly dedicated to equipping both our staff and students with the best resources to foster effective research, teaching, and learning, all while maintaining the highest health and safety standards. We accomplish this by:

  • Investing in the professional development of our Department members, empowering them to excel.
  • Continuously enhancing our facilities to create an optimal learning environment. – Ensuring our Department is fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools and resources to support academic success.
  • Guaranteeing that every facet of our facilities adheres to the strictest health and safety regulations.

Body Donation

Body donation is the altruistic gift of a whole body for the purposes of research and education. This invaluable practice significantly contributes to our understanding of human anatomy and the advancement of scientific knowledge.

The Anatomy Department expertly embalms and preserves these bodies, which are used as essential teaching tools for medical students. Following their educational use, the remains are treated with the utmost respect and interred in a dedicated burial ground, serving as a vital source of skeletal material.

To instill deep moral values regarding the cadaver, the Department conducts a heartfelt cadaveric oath ceremony, encouraging students to honor the cadaver as their first teacher and lifelong guide.
